Château Cheval Blanc has belonged to Albert Frère and Bernard Arnault since 1998. This world-famous estate is managed by Pierre Lurton, a well-known figure in Bordeaux. Cheval Blanc’s 39 hectares of vines are located in Saint-Emilion, on the border with Pomerol. The breakdown of grape varieties is quite original for the appellation: 49% Cabernet Franc, 47% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged in new oak barrels.
